Exercises in Pattern Editor: Learning the Basics is a step by step way to learn to use the Pattern Editor program. We call it "Exercises" because you have to do the work. Each exercise comes with a Pattern Editor file designed to teach a specific skill or tool. "Learning the Basics" assumes the student has never used PE.

The Getting Started Exercises include:

Lines - Arcs - Open Files - Click - Snap - Select - Move - Group - Group Explode - Zoom

The Tool Exercises include:

Copy - Intersect - Place Text - Flip Horizontal -
Flip Vertical - Scissors - Move Point - Locate Points - Offset - Mirror - Measure Distance - Tape Measure

Four projects are included to teach design sequence.

The Exercises instructions are designed to be printed. The PE files are in folders and may be opened in the Pattern Editor.

Note: Rotate commands are not included. These commands are covered in Exercises in Pattern Editor - Let's Rotate.
