Marking the Shoulder Point

Use very narrow tape such as the basting tape used by quilters.

Place a line down the center of the arm.

This line does not need to go all the way to the neck.

It should extend down the arm at least three inches.

Using tape mark the hinge on the shoulder. This is generally up from the under arm fold.

This is the line where the sleeve connects to the bodice.

The shoulder point is where the two tapes intersect.
